Hilco Consumer Capital acquired Halston in partnership with The Weinstein Company, a multi-media company founded by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the brothers who founded Miramax Films Corporation in 1979. The investor group plans to revitalize the brand and launch a hybrid business model that incorporates retail, wholesale and licensing revenue streams.
