Ben is a respected specialist in structuring and negotiating complex asset acquisition and disposition transactions. He works closely with all parties in a transaction to maximize returns on inventory, machinery and equipment, real estate, accounts receivable and intellectual property.

In addition to his role at HCC, Ben also serves as a senior executive with Hilco Merchant Resources, a leader in asset repositioning services to retailers, and as an Executive Vice President with The Hilco Organization, the parent company of HCC.

Prior to joining Hilco, Ben was a Chicago bankruptcy and creditor's rights attorney at the Chicago offices of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue as well as Holleb & Coff. Since 1996, Ben has been involved in structuring and implementing some of the largest asset disposition transactions in the country. He has served as a member of the executive committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute and also served as its Vice President of Development.
